Youth Ministry

Mission Statement

The mission of the Cure D’ Ars Youth Ministry is to serve the Cure D’ Ars community by:

  • Being active and visible members in our church by serving the Body of Christ as liturgical ministers
  • Deepening our faith in Jesus Christ by asking God for guidance to understand better His Word and by studying His Word regularly.
  • Uniting high school youth spiritually and socially while forming lasting friendships and recruiting other youth to participate in Youth Ministry.
  • Serving as role models for the younger generation.
  • Preparing for adulthood.

Youth Ministry is a continuation of the education process for youth who attend high school, grades 9-12. This ministry focuses on the basic teachings of the Catholic Church, study of Scripture, social justice and the Mass.  Youth engage in activities to reinforce their learning, serve the larger community and participate in social events that strengthen their Christian bond within our community.  The Curé d’Ars Youth Ministry focuses on the basic teachings of the Catholic Church. Youth engage in activities (spiritual and social) to reinforce their learning and strengthen their Christian bond within our community.

2016  Youth Ministry will begin this year with a Youth Ministry Family Kickoff on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. in the Parish Center.

All youth in 9-12 grades and their parents are welcome to participate. Youth must be enrolled in high school to participate in Youth Ministry. Registration will take place at this meeting and there is NO COST to register. Did I say NO COST? 🙂
We are redesigning the Youth Ministry program to include recommendations that parishioners, including our youth, have given in surveys and during Stewardship weekend which include liturgical ministries, community service activities, global outreach, social events, and college and career preparedness. We will plan the Youth Ministry schedule collaboratively with families to promote an inclusive and supportive ministry.
If you have any questions, please contact Tanya Ennis at tanyaebelieves@gmail.comor 303-373-9296, Randy Roebuck or Angelique Hill Roebuck. We look forward to seeing you all on Sunday, October 16!
