Baptism

"Go, therefore, make disciples of all the nations ; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit"

Baptism is the door to the new life of the kingdom of God. It is celebrated in the Church as the most magnificant gift that God has ever given. In our Church community, infants' baptisms are celebrated at Weekend Masses to give parishioners an opportunity to participe in the celebration of the sacrament and welcome the new member into the community.
Preparation is required. Parents, and whenever possible, godparents, are to attend the baptismal class prior to the Baptism of their child. After the birth of your child, please contact the Parish Office to make arrangements for attending the Baptismal Preparation Class and to set the date for the celebration of Baptism.
However, those who are over seven years of age are required to participate RCIA or RelEd programs. We want to make the baptism of your child a wonderful event. So, please call on time!

Marriage

The Catechism of the Catholic Church (#1601) defines marriage as a covenant "by which a man and woman establish between themselves a partnership for the whole of life."
Couples wanting to marry should contact the Parish Office at least ten months before the desired date of wedding ceremony. This required length of time will allow the priest or deacon who will officiate at the wedding to do the initial assessment of the couple's freedom and readiness for marriage as well as the liturgical planning.
At Cure d'Are we follow the regulations of the Archdiocese of Denver on the sacrament of Matrimonial. Please check the Archdiocesan website (www.Archden.org) for more information about the guidlines or call Deacon Clarence.

Marriage Groups

There are three Married Couple Groups existing in our Church community. They have been formed to strengthen the internal bonds of the couples with God; to put God at the center of the members' marriages and to enhance and grow the personal relationships between each couple and with God. If you feel that you are interested to join one of these groups, please call those who chaperone them.

Ministry to the Sick

"I was sick and you visited" Matthew 25:36

The ministry to the sick provides the shut-ins and those in the hospitals with a visit and an opportunity to pray and receive the Holy Eucharist. The ministers to the sick bring the Holy Communion after Sunday Mass or as needed. Eucharistic Ministers are a great fit for this ministry.
Also the sick and homebounds can receive the sacrament of the Anointing of the sick when they desire it. The anointing of the sick is administered by the priest to bring spiritual and even physical strength during an illness. Please call the Parish Office if you know someone who needs the sacrament or anyone who would like a visit from a priest or a minister to the sick.

RECONCILIATON

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated whenever needed by making an appointment with the Parish priest. This is a great sacrament that put us back in God's grace and enables us to live lives of holiness in the presence of God. Parishioners are encouraged to frenquently receive the sacrament of reconciliation by going to confession when need is felt.
First Reconciliation is usually celebrated in Grade 2. Parents who are registered members of the Parish are to contact the Director of Religious Education through the Parish Office to register their children for the First Penance program.
